Fantasia to receive star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

“Each honoree truly embodies the essence of excellence in their respective fields,” Walk of Fame Selection Committee chairman Peter Roth said.

HIGH POINT, N.C. — North Carolina native Fantasia Barrino was already a star, but now she has been selected to receive one of the iconic stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Barrino was one of several honorees selected as part of the class of 2025, chosen from hundreds of nominations.

“Each honoree truly embodies the essence of excellence in their respective fields,” Walk of Fame Selection Committee chairman Peter Roth said in a statement. "The committee and I cannot wait to see our honorees becoming part of this world-famous walkway!” 

The dates for the star ceremonies have not yet been set, but all honorees have two years to schedule a ceremony.
