CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Ayesha and Steph Curry have welcomed their fourth child to the world.
Born on May 11, the couple said this weekend on social media the child arrived early.
"Our sweet baby boy decided to make an early arrival," the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post to both their accounts. "He's doing great and we are finally settling in at home as a family of 6!"
The family has named the boy Caius Chai Curry.
Caius Cahi is the fourth child of the couple. Their oldest child, Riley Elizabeth Curry, is now 11 years old, according to NBC News. Ryan Carson Curry is 8 and Canon W. Jack Curry is 5.
"We are so grateful!" the couple said in their Instagram post Sunday, which came just over two weeks since the baby was born.
Golden State’s Steph Curry is the NBA's top earner at $51.9 million this year, according to the Associated Press. He played basketball at his Charlotte high school before his historic career moved to Davidson College.
After breaking the NCAA record for most three-pointers made by a freshman, the Charlotte native led Davidson to the Elite 8 in 2008 with wins over Gonzaga, Georgetown and Wisconsin. He was a first-team All-American during his final season at Davidson before being drafted by Golden State in the first round of the 2009 NBA Draft.
The town of Davidson voted to rename Interstate 77 Exit 30, which shares a number with his jersey, the "Steph Curry interchange."
