ORLANDO, Fla. — Theme park fans, get ready — Universal Orlando Resort's newest theme park, Universal Epic Universe, has an official opening date.
Universal's fourth theme park will open on May 22, 2025, "unlocking the portals to five astounding worlds that will bring to life extraordinary adventures that go beyond guests’ wildest imaginations."
Those worlds include Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk and Dark Universe.
Universal says the new theme park will be packed with more than 50 different experiences for guests to explore, ranging from attractions to entertainment to themed dining options to shopping and "so much more."
Not only will the theme park have portals to these different themed worlds, but a new 500-room hotel will anchor the park. It's called the Universal Helios Grand Hotel and will reportedly offer guests "one-of-a-kind views of the park" and have an entrance into Epic Universe exclusive to hotel guests.
“This is such a pivotal moment for our destination, and we’re thrilled to welcome guests to Epic Universe next year,” Karen Irwin, President and COO of Universal Orlando Resort said in a statement. “With the addition of this spectacular new theme park, our guests will embark on an unforgettable vacation experience with a week’s worth of thrills that will be nothing short of epic! Our Universe will never be the same.”
Universal says guests can start buying tickets for the new theme park as early as next week. If you're an annual ticketholder, you'll reportedly be among the first to buy single-day tickets to Epic Universe, before the general public. According to Universal, most parkgoers will only be able to score a ticket to Epic Universe when you buy a multi-day ticket or vacation package.
