Houston Rapper Big Moe Dies

(Houston) -- He had an album that went as high as number three on the hip hop charts in 2002. Now, five years later, the rapper known as Big Moe has died. The performer, whose real name was Kenneth Moore, was 33 years old. A hospital spokesman says the rapper died Monday, but no cause of death was officially released. However, several hip-hop Web sites report the obese rapper had suffered a heart attack.Big Moe was a member of the late DJ Screw's rap collective, the Screwed Up Click. DJ Screw died in 2000 of a heart attack after reportedly taking codeine-laced cough syrup. Big Moe often made references to the drug in his rap songs. In fact, his first album was titled: "City of Syrup."Two other members of the group, Big Hawk and his brother Fat Pat have also died.
