14-year-old entrepreneur awarded for financial literacy bus

Caden Harris will receive a $5,000 award and has been invited on an all-expenses-paid trip to Prudential's headquarters in Newark, NJ.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A 14-year-old student from Stonecrest is being recognized for his work addressing the challenges of the world.

Caden Harris was named a 2024 Prudential Emerging Visionary for his commitment to improving the lives of others.

As one of 25 Prudential Emerging Visionary winners, Harris will receive a $5,000 award and has been invited on an all-expenses-paid trip to Prudential's headquarters in Newark, NJ, where Prudential employees will coach him and have the chance to meet other young leaders.

At just 7 years old, Harris founded "Financial Literacy for All"-- a program on wheels that aims to incorporate financial literacy into the curriculum.  "Financial Literacy for All" operates a bus that travels across the country, teaching students how to earn, budget and invest their money.

Harris said he got the idea when a fortune cookie told him that something on four wheels would be a fun investment. The financial literacy bus made its debut in July 2022.
