COLUMBIA, S.C. — Planning a summer trip to the "City That Never Sleeps"? Well, finding a flight from Columbia shouldn't be a problem!
Columbia Metropolitan Airport just added its third nonstop flight to New York City. This time with an afternoon departure time — for all those late sleepers! The new Delta flight leaves Columbia airport at 1:05 p.m. and arrives at LaGuardia Airport at 3:06 p.m.
Looking to start your vacation a little earlier? Two other flights leave Columbia airport in the early morning hours — one Delta and one American:
- American Airlines: Departs at 6:55 a.m. and arrives at 9 a.m.
- Delta Airlines: Departs at 6 a.m.
Airport officials say the new addition is thanks to a 20 percent increase in traffic this year.
“With over 301,000 passengers flying through CAE since January of this year, we’re currently on track to have another record setting year,” said CAE Executive Director Mike Gula.
However, if New York City isn't your dream destination, Columbia airport does have nonstop flights to several other U.S. cities:
