COLUMBIA, S.C. — A body has been recovered from the Congaree River in Richland County, according to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR).
Richland County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 600 block of Rosewood Drive around 6:00 p.m., today, Oct. 1, to reports of a body found in the Congaree River.
The Richland County Coroner’s Office will do an autopsy to determine cause of death. There are no obvious signs of trauma.
