HIGHLANDS, N.C. — 1970s Hollywood icon Burt Reynolds' North Carolina home has sold for $2.9 million. Reynolds was Hollywood's highest-paid actor from 1978 to 1982 and is well known for his roles in Boogie Nights (1997) and Starting Over (1979).
The modern-style home in the Blue Ridge Mountains was built in 1972, the same year it was purchased by Reynolds and his then-wife Loni Anderson. At the time, the actor had been filming the 70s classic "Deliverance."
The home is located inside of the Nantahala National Forest and was remodeled to include an expanded terrace, a stone fireplace, an in-ground heated pool, a serving bar and a wine cellar.
Celebrities who also own nearby homes include Steve Martin, Stephen King and Nicole Kidman.
Reynolds died on Sept. 6, 2018.
