Columbia Animal Services launches Carolina-Clemson donation drive, Thanksgiving adoption special

Columbia Animal Services is holding a Carolina v. Clemson donation drive and a Thanksgiving adoption special in November.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia Animal Services has two events underway in the month of November.

The first is a Carolina vs. Clemson donation drive. Donating is as easy as dropping off at Columbia Animal Services (127 Humane Ln, Columbia) or ordering through Amazon using QR codes. 

Some of the items needed include: 

  • Dog treats! (Milk bones are great!)
  • Kitten and puppy food – both wet and dry
  • Cat and dog food – dry
  • Heating pads for baby kittens
  • KMR kitten formula
  • Kong dog toys 
  • Towels and blankets
  • Bleach
  • Hand soap
  • Laundry detergent

The donation drive runs through Saturday, November 25, so remember Columbia Animal Services when you're shopping on Black Friday and be sure to specify a team (Carolina or Clemson) with your Amazon purchase!

The organization is also holding a "Thankful for You" adoption special from Monday, November 13, 2023 though Wednesday, November 22, 2023. During that time, you can adopt an animal for just $23.

Columbia Animal Services, located at 127 Humane Lane in Columbia, is open from 12 - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday. The shelter is closed on Sundays.
