Columbia townhome fire in Bull Street District leaves no injuries

A fire broke out in an empty Bull Street townhome in Columbia, but no injuries were reported as firefighters contained it.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Authorities say no injuries were reported following a townhome fire in Columbia's BullStreet District on Thursday morning.

Authorities said firefighters from the Columbia-Richland Fire Department arrived around 8 a.m., found smoke coming from the roof of a building at the location and quickly entered the building. The department said they had the fire under control soon after. 

No one was home at the time of the fire, and its cause is still under investigation.
