RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities say a fire in northeast Richland County forced five people out of their home on Friday morning.
Columbia-Richland Fire Department officials said the call to a home on Constable Lane came in around 10 a.m. Arriving crews found smoke and fire showing from the front of the home. Firefighters entered and found heavy smoke and high heat from a kitchen fire. Crews were able to extinguish the kitchen fire.
Officials said the family of five was displaced but added that no injuries were reported. The Richland County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the incident.
