Chapin, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies have arrested a man they say beat his wife and infant son.
Rishi Dutt, 36, is charged with with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and attempted murder. He was also charged with simple possession of marijuana.
According to Curtis Wilson with the Richland County Sheriff Department, officers responded to Pickard Court in Chapin early Tuesday afternoon and found Dutt beating his six-month-old son.
Deputies subdued Dutt after they say he resisted arrest and transported both the father and son to Palmetto Richland Hospital.
Bond for Dutt was set at $500,000.
