Disaster Recovery Center to open in Richland County after Helene

The Disaster Recovery Center will remain open through Wednesday, Oct. 30.
The storm first brought flooding, and then high winds that triggered power outages and damage to homes and roads.

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — A Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) will open Thursday, Oct. 24 at Richland Library Main, 1431 Assembly St., Columbia, to provide in-person assistance to residents affected by Hurricane Helene. 

The DRC will remain open through Wednesday, Oct. 30. 

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) makes DRC facilities accessible so people can learn more about FEMA and other disaster assistance programs. You may also visit to ask questions about your case.
