COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - The Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia is hosting its fifth annual caregiver conference to support those who care for veterans.
The conference is scheduled for Nov. 4 at the Solomon Center on Fort Jackson, but registration ends on Thursday.
Information is available on veterans' services and community organizations that support their caregivers.
Activities for relaxation include art therapy, yoga, and line dancing.
A variety of speakers and presentations will provide information on topics such as dementia and other issues that afflict veterans.
The event is free and a lunch is provided for registered guests. People wishing to attend may call 803-776-4000, extension 7180 to register.
The Dorn VAMC Caregiver Support Program also holds a monthly support group meeting.
