FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities in Fairfield County say a man reported missing in Fairfield County has been found safe.
According to the Fairfield County Sheriff's Office, the 76-year-old man was seen leaving his home on Thursday around 6 p.m. on Gumsprings Road south of Winnsboro. Authorities said he had a small dog with him.
His truck was picked up on a license plate reader in the Summerville area around 11 a.m. Authorities were concerned at the time because the man was without important medication and reportedly had symptoms of dementia.
The Fairfield County Sheriff's Office confirmed around 7:30 p.m. on Friday that he had been found and was safe. Authorities didn't provide any additional information at the time.
