Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia Fire says they are currently on the scene of a junkyard fire in Columbia.
The "persistent" fire is located at North Columbia Auto Salvage off Fairfield Road, according to a tweet by the Columbia Fire Department.
Officials say tanker trucks and foam crews have been on the scene since around 2 p.m., but the fire is now contained to a few piles in one area of the yard.
