COLUMBIA, S.C. — Fire officials said crews made quick work of an air conditioning fire that happened at Columbia College on Thursday.
According to a spokesperson for the Columbia-Richland Fire Department, the fire was called in around 5:30 p.m. in McNair Hall at the college.
Crews went into the building and found the fire on the second floor coming from an air conditioning unit and quickly extinguished it.
The fire led to the building being temporarily evacuated but there were no injuries reported.
No details on the damage were released though a photo shared by the department showed the burned air-conditioning unit and some charring on an external brick wall.
