COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Richland County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a Saturday morning fire that damaged a local apartment building.
A spokesperson for the Columbia-Richland Fire Department said that crews first arrived at the area of Fox Trail Drive around 3:30 a.m. where the fire was already burning on the front and back of the building.
Authorities said that one apartment was severely damaged by the fire and a nearby building also suffered exposure damage. Other units were also impacted by smoke from the fire.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. No injuries were reported in connection to the fire.
