Manning, SC (WLTX) - Former Clarendon County Sheriff Randy Garrett has passed away.
Garrett, 64, passed away Saturday after a brief illness.
Stephens Funeral Home, which is handling his services, confirmed Saturday night that the longtime law enforcement officer died Saturday. His body was brought from Florence County back to Manning.
Garrett served as Clarendon County Sheriff from 2009 to 2016. That year, he lost a primary election which ended his time in that office.
He had also served as Manning's police chief.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Stephens Funeral Home in Manning.
Garrett's funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Weldon Auditorium, and he will be buried at Clarendon Memorial Gardens.
