COLUMBIA, S.C. — After the tragic death of University of South Carolina student Samantha Josephson, the school is urging its students to utilize other services on campus besides Uber and Lyft
University of South Carolina students are accustomed to using Uber and Lyft to get around town. But there are several ways students can get to where they need to go without depending on those APPS.
USC offers a free shuttle that picks students up from five points.
The shuttle picks students up at the 2100 block of Santee Ave, which is located near the old Harper's location. The shuttle runs from 10:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m Thursday through Saturday.
The shuttle makes drop-offs on-campus at five locations as well as three off-campus locations
The on campus locations are Capstone, the Williams-Brice Nursing Building, Longstreet Theatre, Greek Village and the Blatt P.E. Center.
The off campus drop off locations are at the intersection of Pulaski and Devine St., Park Place and Union at Columbia
The shuttle runs every weekend for students.
You can download the Transloc rider app on your phone to track when the buses will arrive.
