Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Funeral arrangements have been announced for former U.S. Senator and South Carolina Governor, Ernest "Fritz" Hollings.
According to Andy Brack, former spokesman for Hollings, a visitation is planned for 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 14 at James McAlister funeral home on Savannah Highway in Charleston.
The former Senator will lie in state Monday, April 15 at the South Carolina Statehouse from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A funeral is planned for the following day, April 16, at 11 a.m. at the Summerall Chapel at The Citadel in Charleston, Hollings' alma mater.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina: 86 Jonathan Lucas Street, Charleston, SC 29425.
Hollings died Saturday morning at the age of 97.
