SALUDA, S.C. — We now know when funeral services will be held for two South Carolina firefighters killed during Tropical Storm Helene.
Chad Satcher and Landon Cale Bodie, both of Leesville, were killed on Friday, Sept. 27, after a tree fell on their fire truck while responding to a call for service in Saluda County during Tropical Storm Helene. Both were stationed at the Circle Volunteer Fire Department.
The funeral service for Bodie will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Batesburg-Leesville High School Fine Arts Center. Interment will follow at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m. before the service begins at the Fine Arts Center.

Satcher's funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Batesburg-Leesville High School Fine Arts Center, with interment to follow in Ridge Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday at Milton Shealy Funeral Home of Batesburg.
