JEFFERSON COUNTY, Tennessee — At around 9:11 p.m. on Sunday, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to Tacoma Way on a report someone was trapped underneath a vehicle.
An investigation from the Criminal Investigation Division revealed that 25-year-old Christian Roberto Ortega Yanez had been under a car making repairs when a jack collapsed, pinning him under, JCSO said.
Yanez was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Knox County Regional Forensic Center for an autopsy.
Rescuers from the Dandridge Fire Department, Jefferson County Rescue Squad and Jefferson County EMS helped with the response.
