Sumter, SC (WLTX) - Sumter firefighters were called to a house fire Friday afternoon that was just two miles from where a large warehouse fire was earlier in the day.
Two homes, one of which was vacant, reportedly caught fire in Sumter's Historic District on West Hampton Avenue.
The abandoned house was reportedly completely engulfed, and sustained $50,000 in damage. The neighboring home experienced $25,000 worth of damage to its side.
No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
The warehouse fire began at 4 a.m. Firefighters from the county, as well as Shaw Air Force Base, responded to the blaze.
