Columbia, SC (WLTX) - It could be more than a month before we get a look at the Lexington father who police say confessed to killing his 5 children.
Timothy Jones Jr., waived his right to appear in court Friday morning after returning to South Carolina from Mississippi.

"He knows he's being portrayed as a monster," said Aimee Zmroczek, an attorney who has met with Jones.
The bodies of the 5 children were found in garbage bags off a dirt road in Alabama investigators say.
Now, Jones legal team say he's dealing with mental issues but said they've not discussed if mental health will be part of their defense.
"Jails and prisons are not places for people stuggling with serious, clearly serious, issues of mental health," Zmroczek said.
Zmroczek says she was called by Jones' father overnight.
She said once Jones arrived in South Carolina, he was not allowed to see the public defenders office. A Lexington Sheriff's spokesman said Jones met with attorneys Thursday night and a second time Friday morning.
Jones' immediate family is from Mississippi and did not come to South Carolina for the Friday hearing.
Friday afternoon, Jones was transferred to a maximum security facility at the Department of Corrections. A spokesperson there says proper precautions are being taken for his safety and security.
November 13th is the next time Jones could be in court and before cameras but but attorneys say it's likely he'll waive his right to appear once again.
