COLUMBIA, S.C. — A Monday morning single-car crash resulted in the death of one man.
Gary Lee Murphy, 42, was driving on Percival Road in Elgin when his car left the road and hit a pole.
Murphy, who was ejected from the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He died from blunt force trauma, according to the Richland County Coroner's Office. Murphy was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
