Columbia, SC (WLTX) Officers with the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) seized a methamphetamine laboratory that was being operated at a home on Pooles Mill Road near Swansea Monday afternoon.
Officers arrested a 24-year-old Swansea man and 28-year-old Swansea woman on charges that they operated the methamphetamine laboratory.
Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said NET officers arrested Monty Lamar Harry, 24, of Swansea, and Crystal Lee Miller, 28, also of Swansea, on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute it, improperly disposing of waste from a methamphetamine laboratory and unlawfully altering pseudoephedrine.
Harry and Miller were being held on Wednesday, May 21 at the Lexington County Detention Center on bail totaling $15,000 for each inmate.
NET officers found the methamphetamine laboratory at about 1:09 p.m. on Monday at a home on Pooles Mill Road, Metts said. Officers arrested Harry and Miller.
Officers dismantled and safely disposed of the methamphetamine laboratory.
Officers found a small amount of methamphetamine on Miller's person incident to her arrest.
