CHAPIN, S.C. — Chapin police say a teen reported missing on Wednesday has been found and is safe.
"Thank you again for the outpouring of support from the community," the department posted on Facebook Thursday morning with the update.
The 14-year-old had last been seen walking away from Chapin High School around 1 p.m. Wednesday. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, a white t-shirt, black and white jogger-style pants, and white shoes.
Police had said he might have been attempting to return to the Irmo area, where his friends are believed to reside.
