CHARLESTON, S.C. — Charleston Police are asking for the public's help to find a missing 16-year-old who hasn't been seen or heard from since March 9.
Police say James Lee Carter Jr., who was reported missing on March 21, last spoke with family members on March 9 on his way to school. Family members have not seen or heard from him since then.
Carter is believed to frequent the North Charleston area (Florida Avenue, the old DSS building complex, and the Cherokee Apartments), according to authorities.
If you see Carter or have any information as to his whereabouts, police ask you to contact the Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch at 843-743-7200 and ask to speak with the on duty CPD Central Detective or contact Crimestoppers anonymously in any of the following ways:
