Forest Acres Police suspect no foul play after man found dead in vehicle

The Richland County Coroner's Office is now handling the investigation, with an autopsy and toxicology results pending.

FOREST ACRES, S.C. — Authorities are working to determine how a man in his 30s died after they found him unresponsive in a parked car on Thursday night. However, initial reports suggest no foul play.

The Forest Acres Police Department said they were directed to Ravenwood Apartments on Bethel Church Road just before 11 p.m. Police said they arrived within three minutes and found a man dead in his parked car.

"Upon investigation at the scene, no evidence of foul play was found," police said in a statement on Friday.

The Richland County Coroner's Office is now handling the investigation, with an autopsy and toxicology results pending. Authorities haven't yet released the name of the deceased man.
