Dalzell, SC (WLTX) -- It was a normal day at Peach Orchard Deer Processing when a truck-load of alligators arrived, however, one of the reptiles was up for playing alligator games.

Roy Floyd, owner of the Dalzell business, told News19 the 12-foot-6-inch alligator was in the back of the vehicle with its mouth tied and eyes closed before coming back to life. He said it was caught at a private pond in Sumter and he believed it was knocked unconscious.

As the truck was being unloaded, he said a 10-year-old was in the back when it opened its eyes and started growling at the workers. Floyd said the men were "screaming like girls," as the nearly 600 pound alligator began twisting and turning.

He said about 20 people evacuated as a precaution and there were no injuries. We are told this is the first time something like this had happened at the processing center.

The alligator has since been processed after workers made certain it was dead.
