HORRY COUNTY, S.C. — She said she it was a Tinder date gone wrong — turns out there was never a Tinder date to begin with.
Horry County police believed Jessica Boyizigies was a victim when she described being robbed at knifepoint by her Tinder date at a Myrtle Beach bar on March 28.
Two suspects, both men, were taken into custody and charged a short time later. But then, texts and surveillance video revealed Boyizigies actually lied about the entire situation.
According to a report, the Tinder date never existed. Boyizigies was actually meeting with one of the men to buy illegal drugs. She decided to report the fake robbery when he failed to provide the drugs.
Jessica Boyizigies is charged with filing a false report of a felony, while the charges against both men have been dismissed.
