Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The Riverbanks Zoo is welcoming a new little koala joey at Koala Knockabout.
The little koala joey was born over 6 months ago, but until now the joey has remain hidden inside his mother's pouch, Lottie. When koalas are first born they are only the size of a jellybean, which explains why the koala hasn't been seen.
The koala joey and Lottie will be rotating on habitat with the other koalas at Riverbanks Zoo. So if you're taking a family trip this weekend, you'll probably be lucky enough to get a sneak peek.
