COLUMBIA, S.C. — A spontaneous decision to play the Lottery has won a Midland’s player $375,000.
It happened at the Grocery Convenience Store on the Paxville Highway in Manning.
A $10 Mighty Jumbo Bucks scratch-off caught the customer’s eye, so he bought it, scratched it, and took home the last top prize in the game.
“It was great,” the lucky winner told South Carolina Education Lottery officials, who caught up with him after cashing in the big win.
The winner, who did not wish to be identified, is saving the windfall.
Odds of winning $375,000 in the Mighty Jumbo Bucks game was 1 in 960,000.
Grocery Convenience Store in Manning received a commission of $3,750 for selling the claimed ticket.
