RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — The Richland County Sheriff's Department is looking for a man who was last seen days earlier and reported missing by his family.
The sheriff's department said 28-year-old Zelig Williams was last seen at his home in the 400 block of Longwood Road in Columbia on Oct. 3.
Deputies said a family member contacted them the next day and said they had not heard or seen him. They were concerned since going without contacting anyone is unlike Williams.
Further investigation suggested he may have been driving in the area of Congaree National Park, where investigators found the vehicle they believed he was driving. Investigators said Williams needs prescription medication.
The sheriff's department asked anyone with information on Williams to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
