A bit of royalty at the South Carolina State Fair

The fair has a new experience for guests, a Princess Diana exhibition.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — One of the newest things to see at the South Carolina State Fair is the Princess Diana Exhibition at The Rosewoods ballroom

Guests can walk through the exhibit down a luxurious red carpet lit by chandeliers.

Once inside, guests can see photos of the Princess of Wales and her family.  

King Charles III, Prince William, Prince Harry, Princess Kate Middleton, Megan Markle, and the many royal grandchildren are all on display.  The photographs captured by the royal photographer. 

The photos also have story cards beside them explaining background and meanings of each image.

Kathy Allen is the director of marketing and human resources at the South Carolina State Fair and says she hopes guests enjoy the exhibition.  

“I hope that they will have a real appreciation for Diana and the life that she led and the legend that she left,” said Allen. “I think there are a lot of Princess Diana and royal lovers in the area” 

Minnie Smith walked through the exhibit on opening day and encourages other to share her experience.

“It’s just a beautiful history and event,” said Smith. “Everyone should be able to see her and enjoy the history of Princess Diana.”   

Admission to the Princess Diana: Accredited Access Exhibition is complimentary with a fair ticket.
