COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina State Fair opens at the fairgrounds on Rosewood Drive in Columbia on October 9. This year, folks will find almost a dozen new food items to tempt your taste buds before and after you ride those rides.
What's the new Fair fare? Here's a list of new foods and concessionaires:

Bubblelicious will be serving sweet-and-savory items such as Das Chicken and Waffle and the Mac Pop Waffle, along with its signature BTG (Black Thanksgiving): deep-fried turkey wings and surf-and-turf fries.
Mr. Seafood will have -- you guessed it -- fried seafood, salmon bites, and classic po'boys.
Deep Fried Tacos has Mexi rice bowls, loaded nachos, taco salads and their signature deep-fried tacos.
New foods:
Korean corn dogs are described as hot dog slices with mozzarella cheese on a stick, dipped in donut batter, rolled in panko and French fry pieces and deep fried. They're finished off with ketchup, mustard, sweet chili Thai sauce and sriracha.
Strawberry dragon fruit lemonade blends lemonade, strawberry fruit tea and dragon fruit.
Deep-fried corn on a stick is a 6-inch ear of corn coated in a buttermilk-and-egg mixture, rolled in flour, cornmeal and spices, then deep-fried and topped with creamy mayonnaise and Parmesan cheese.
Palmetto Kettle Corn: Sweet. Salty. Buttery goodness. Enough said.
Peach cobbler funnel cake -- with or without a generous sprinkling of powdered sugar and cinnamon
A poutine burger consists of a single, flame-grilled burger topped with fries, cheese curds and rich gravy on a homemade bun.
Campfire Dog: A juicy all-beef hot dog topped with hearty baked beans and crispy applewood bacon – it’s like a campfire cookout in every bite!
Chipotle Chicken Bacon Ranch Sundae: This towering treat features crispy garlic parmesan fries as the base, layered with vibrant green peppers, savory crumbled bacon, and juicy grilled chicken breast. The whole creation is drizzled with homemade chipotle ranch dressing for a spicy, tangy kick.
Funnel Dog: A hot dog wrapped in a funnel cake blanket, topped in powdered sugar and served with maple syrup on the side for dipping.
Deep-fried Golden Oreo: Take an Oreo, dip it in funnel cake batter and deep fry it.
Pro Kitchen Cookie Kitchen returns with warm chocolate chip cookies. Proceeds from sales go to the South Carolina State Fair's Ride of Your Life Scholarship Program.
