Steve Martin coming to the Columbia Museum of Art

Columbia, SC (WLTX) -Steve Martin is coming to Columbia — but not to make you laugh.

Martin is coming to the Columbia Museum of Art to talk, art. Most know him as a writer, musician, actor, comedian and screen writer, but he is also a long-time art collector.

CMA Chief Curator Will Smith will join Martin in what is described as "lively conversation about his life with art". The discussion will highlight artists Martin has collected, along with their backstories.

The event will take place on April 25, 2019, and tickets are $5,000 for a table of eight, which includes a cocktail hour with Steve Martin. Tables are also available for $3,000, $2000 or $1250. Individual tickets are available for $100.
