IRMO, South Carolina — Last year, Jada Powell put out about 400 eggs in the Irmo Community Park and about 40 kids came out with their families to hunt them.
It was such a hit, the families that participated flooded Powell’s house with more eggs for next year.
She now has 3,500 eggs and is looking for people to help stuff them this Saturday.
Although they have supplies for the egg hunt, they are still looking for donations for a cookout. They need things like hot dogs, buns, water and bags of chips. Powell runs this event by herself so donations from the community are really needed. You can drop any of these things off at Splurge on Woodrow St. Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The goal of this event is to bring the community together for the Town of Irmo.
The Irmo Community Egg Hunt will be held at on April 6 at 4 p.m. in the Community Park.
