KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. — Six people are being assisted by the American Red Cross following an overnight house fire in Kershaw County.
Based on preliminary information provided by Kershaw County Fire Service, the fire was reported just after midnight on Saturday on Desert Rose Court near Lugoff.
Battalion 3 and Engine 13 were on the scene within minutes but found "heavy fire conditions" at the back of the home when they arrived.
Crews quickly made their way into the house and brought the fire under control within about 30 minutes with the help of the Lugoff Fire Department, officials said.
A photo shared by Kershaw County Fire Service shows significant damage on one side of the home that appears to extend into the structure.
No one was hurt in the fire. Authorities said the cause is still under investigation.
