CHAPIN, S.C. — A Lexington County family is now without a home after a fire in Chapin on Monday morning.
Crews say they responded to a "well involved" house fire in the 600 block of Amicks Ferry Road. The home was a single family, two-story residence, according to officials with Lexington County.
The home was a "total loss."
Officials say one adult and three children were home at the time of the fire and got out without injury.
The Lexington County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause.
Red Cross will be assisting a total of eight people--two adults and six children--who lived at the home. Not all were there at the time of the fire.
The Chapin Presbyterian Church is taking donations for the family. You can reach out to the church here.
