LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — If you have property tax business to attend to in Lexington County, you'll want to be aware of delays caused by a new system.
Beginning at Noon, Friday, July 19, 2024, all Lexington County services related to property taxes will be unavailable for up to five days due to the installation of a new property tax billing and collection system.
Officials say all of the functions of the Lexington County Treasurer’s and Auditor’s Office will be temporarily unavailable online and in person during this time.
This includes the ability to process appeals or issue new property tax notices, provide refunds, process payments, issue receipts and/or issue vehicle registration decals.
While the county will not be able to process payments during this time, property tax notice payments submitted in a timely manner during the service disruption will not receive any accrued DMV late penalties, according to officials.
