Lexington County road to temporarily close for construction

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Starting on Monday, March 4, a portion of Gibson Road (S-32-91) in Lexington County will be temporarily closed for construction, according to the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT)

The closure is expected to last approximately 12 days and will allow for the repair of a pipe culvert near the intersection of Cinnamon Hills Court.

During the closure, drivers should use an alternate route. A signed detour route will be put in place using South Church Street, Roberts Street, and South Lake Drive. 

SCDOT asks motorists to slow down and drive safely near work zones.
