ELLOREE, S.C. — Elloree area customers are urged to boil their water due to a line break reported on Saturday.
A spokesperson for the Elloree Water System issued the boil water advisory for its customers and said that it will remain in effect until further notice. Typically, boil water advisories are precautionary and put in place until a water test can confirm no contamination. No time frame for that process was provided.
According to data from the Town of Elloree, the Elloree Water System has about 650 customers and serves about 1,450 people.
