HOLLY HILL, S.C. — The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office is investigating the discovery of human remains on Thursday.
Authorities said the remains were found in the Holly Hill area but provided no other details, such as whether they were found outside, how they were found, or how long they may have been in the area.
The sheriff's office did not indicate whether they consider this a criminal investigation but said an autopsy will be performed to determine who the person was and how they died.
The sheriff's office also said it would provide more updates as they receive them.
