Teen missing since Saturday night sought in Sumter: Have you seen her?

Authorities said the 15-year-old is a former Walterboro resident and might be with a friend from that town.

SUMTER, S.C. — The Sumter Police Department is searching for a 15-year-old girl who hasn't been seen since late Saturday.

According to a statement from the department, Hannah Ammons was last seen around 9:30 p.m. at her Virginia Drive home. Police said she has run away before and is a former resident of Walterboro. They also believe she may be with a woman from Walterboro who is her friend.

Ammons is described as about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 175 pounds. She was last seen wearing ripped jeans and a light blue shirt. She also took gray Crocs and black and white Nike shoes with her.

Police urge anyone with information on her location to call the police department at 803-436-2700, the nearest law enforcement agency, or 911.
