Sumter, SC (WLTX) - Danielle Last is a third grade teacher at Alice Drive Elementary School in Sumter County. She's been an educator for more than 5 years; and she's known since she was in the second grade that she wanted to be an educator.
Mrs. Last says that it was the special attention she received from her second grade teacher that helped her understand how important an educator is in the life of a child.
The parents in Mrs. Last's class say that she is the kind of teacher who sets expectations high for her students and encourages them to accomplish their goals.
For Christmas, Mrs. Last surprised each of her students with a gift from their wish list, making the holidays brighter not only for the kids but also for their parents.
