Turbeville, SC (WLTX) -- A Turbeville Correctional Institution Officer has been arrested for Misconduct in Office. The Department of Corrections said that Jasmine Karlisa Cook, 28, that she purposefully withheld knowledge of the suspect in an attempted murder that took place.
Investigators said that on September 4, 2016, Cook knew about the identity of two individuals that were responsible for the attempted murder, but gave two written statements voluntarily to law enforcement that did not include their names. Officer included that this is an ongoing investigation with additional warrants for other suspects pending.
Cook was arrested and taken to the Clarendon County Detention Center. She has been with the department since 2011.
