Two dead after single car accident near Jenkinsville in Fairfield County

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — Two people are dead after an accident in Fairfield County on Halloween night, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on South Carolina Highway 215, one mile east of Jenkinsville, around 11:20 pm on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

Troopers say a 2003 Chevrolet sedan was traveling north on South Carolina Highway 215 when it went off the right side of the road, overturned then struck a tree.

24-year-old Chrishonda Boyd and 25-year-old Jacquivs Robinson, both of Winnsboro, succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased on scene, according to Fairfield County Coroner Chris Hill.

An autopsy is scheduled with Newberry Pathology to confirm the cause of death.

The crash remains under investigation by South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Fairfield County Coroner's Office.
