Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Expect more typical June-like weather this weekend and next week as well.
High temperatures on Flag Day and Father's Day will top out near 90° and we may see a stray shower or storm during the afternoon.
This is basically the weather pattern we are going to be stuck in over the next several days.
Monday and Tuesday look for mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the lower 90s, both days there will be a chance for a stray shower or storm.
Wednesday and Thursday temperatures are expected to climb into the middle 90 for highs and again there will be an opportunity for an isolated shower or storm.
Friday there may be a slightly better chance for thunderstorms and it still is going to be hot with high temperatures in the middle 90s to end the workweek.
So far this season the hottest temperature we have reached was 96°, the last time Columbia hit 100° was July 27, 2012.
